As I continue to sort through old forum discussions for this blog, I realized that the “flow” of the posts may seem a bit stilted.
Taking online courses has several benefits:
- I had the ability to write when there was time… and sometimes in pajamas.
- My geographic location was irrelevant to the course deadlines – as long as there was a solid internet connection.
- My physical library was handy to the point where portions of it were in peril of falling off my desk and losing a key spot in three different texts.
- For data hoarders like me, the ability to remember a part of a conversation/discussion is facilitated by a simple search of a folder… and a not-so-simple culling of the various search results.
However, in the edit/post process, I have come to appreciate the matter of context in the discussion. As I have done in the past, I made every effort to identify my own rephrasing of a question to me as well as when the professor directly posed a new perspective or inquiry.
Some of it may be dry and drawn-out. Since you are reading this, I feel that apologizing for such issues may be redundant. There may even be a bit of repetition of general ideas I have shared previously… I prefer to call it “tangible consistency.”
Either way, thank you for reading and I hope you continue to find it interesting…
